Depression and Beliefs
Placebos are 59 per cent as efficient in relieving depression as
the tricyclic psychotropic drugs. (Morris, J., and Beck, A., 'The
efficacy of antidepressant drugs,' Archives of General Psychiatry
30 (1974), 667-74). What impact are your beliefs having on your health?
In February 2000, I completed the NLP Health Certification Training at
Anchor Point Institute in Salt Lake City. Three of the best trainers
in the world were our teachers – Robert Dilts, Tim Hallbom, and
Suzi Smith (authors of "Beliefs: Pathways to Health and Well-
Being"). In this intensive training, we learned about identifying
and changing limiting beliefs, resolving internal conflicts, recovering
from compulsions and addictions, and much more. I look forward
to discussing relief from depression or other unpleasant states with
you or your acquaintances, friends and family members.
